A China cap or conical strainer is used to remove seeds and other coarse matter from soft foods, but produces a coarser-textured product than the chinois.

These Stainless Steel Conical Strainers are great for mashing, pureeing, and draining vegetables and fruit. The strong 18/10 stainless steel can handle repeated pressure from a pestle. The strainers will not retain smells or flavors. Convenient hang hook and handle allows the strainer to be mounted onto pots or over the sink.
