Description
This set contains (6) 40002 Spear Point, Straight Blade knives. Important change made to wood handles: Victorinox cares about the environment and due to new protections for Rosewood Trees, this item will no longer have the original Rosewood handles. The handles have been changed to maple wood that is stained in rosewood color.
Our classic, traditional Maple Wood handle is designed to provide maximum comfort at all times. Maple Wood handles feature a carved handle design with the unique beauty of natural Maple Wood, extra durable. A steak knife is used at the table (as opposed to the kitchen) to cut through especially tough foods, such as meat. A great addition to your restaurant or home.
High carbon stainless steel blades are hand finished in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. These blades do not discolor or stain. These knives are specially ground and tempered so that they can be re-sharpened over and over again, keeping a sharp edge throughout their lifetime.
Each Victorinox knife is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground down, polished, etched and finished. Swiss Army Victorinox provides professionals in food processing and preparation with superior quality, value-priced cutlery that enhances performance and increases productivity.
Cook’s Illustrated consistently rates Victorinox knives a best buy in their knife testing. All Victorinox Swiss Army cutlery products are backed by a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer’s defects.

These are the best knives I have ever owned. They are lightweight but sturdy. The blade is extremely sharp, and I appreciate that they are straight blades, not serrated, so the cut is clean. It cuts through meat like butter! I also like the beautiful rosewood handles. They look lovely on my table with my dinnerware. They are definitely worth every penny.
